There are several areas in the Clubhouse where residents gather for coffee, or a meal – the Coffee Shops and the Dining Room.
Coffee Shops
There are two coffee shops in the Clubhouse, one in the bar and lounge area and another next to the Cinema, In the Coffee Shops you will find complimentary tea and instant coffee. If you feel like a brewed coffee, a cappuccino, espresso, hot chocolate, latte or flat white, $1 in the coffee machine will satisfy your need for caffeine. Milk is always available in the fridge. Biscuits are there for all to share.

Kitchen Volunteers.
Each meal requires 2 kitchen volunteers to assist in the serving of the meals. Volunteers must have a Safe Food handling certificate. This is undertaken online through the Moreton Bay Council website and is free. Use this link to enrol.
Table setters:
The tables are set for meals by volunteers according to a roster. New volunteers are always welcome.

Cooks Night Out
Each month, on the last Wednesday evening of each month, the Social Club arranges a “Cook’s Night Out.” Our two buses take residents to a restaurant, Club or similar venue for a meal.
To join the outing, put your names on the sign on sheet in the MPR. Get in early! It’s a popular night out. Once the two buses are full anyone else must go on the waiting list. IF there is a cancellation you might just be lucky.
Visitors are not permitted to take the bus but are welcome to join the group in their own transport.
